not only do i agree that being an art deco bride would be really neat, but isn’t she the prettiest? lavender espadrilles, cap sleeves and that lace! i shouldn’t get ahead of myself here, but this is my kinda bride and i hope to mimic her ease and natural beauty on my wedding day

Ah! I want my bob haircut back so I can be an art deco bride…

some fashion commentators were saying this dress wasn’t a typical design of the designer, sarah burton, and they wanted kate — or shall i say princess catherine? the duchess of cambridge? — to wear something a bit more dramatic.
i completely disagree, i’m glad she went for something more timeless. everyone, and i mean everyone raves about grace kelly’s timelessness and beauty. so who better to emulate?
like tim gunn says, it’s a classic silhouette, simple and will never go out of style. this girly girl is a fan.

froofy wedding stuff isn’t for me; however, if i were to plan a princessy wedding then this would be the dress i’d wear. so voluptuously simple and timeless. 1 year ago / 2155 notes
thanks to myvintagevogue, i heard about one of my newest tumblr obsessions, omgthatdress. i stumbled upon this little gemstone in particular after spending an embarrassing length of time oggling the many fashions featured on that tumblr.
tea length wedding dresses are overdone, but there’s something about this particular dress that i find quite sweet. i think it’s the lacy neckline. or perhaps it’s the pearl necklace that, while not apart of the dress, compliments it so well?
don’t rightly know, but i do know i like this.

i’ve never been the type-a gal that imagines some princess pouf of taffeta on her wedding day. i always pictured something fitted and vintage, which is why when i saw the above picture on soverypretty, the drool fest began.

i know this is moderately non-traditional, but how adorable would her dress be for a destination wedding in a warm spot?
me thinks quite lovely…
