best invention…ever? we’ve all had a slice of something get destroyed in a to-go box that’s too big, which is why i can fully get behind to-go boxes specifically made for slices of pie. the thread ribbon is also a nice touch, you could easily attach a tag to it to indicate which flavor of pie it is for a quaint little gift.
if i owned a cafe or a bakery, then we would do this.

skip the kmart santa wrap and be original this holiday season. after all, it’s a cute way to personalize, and jazz-up, an otherwise simple or inexpensive gift. personally, i like a trademark wrap, so i usually wrap things in brown paper bags with cute adornments or signature twine as ribbon. 5 months ago / 26 notes
the handwritten letter or gift wrapping for the musician.
these sheets of music would make for some killer packaging, but perhaps not diy envelopes considering writing on these in a legible way would be a real pain.
i do love the bundled up marie antoinette blue ribbon.

i don’t care about the crackers.
i don’t care if they’re luxurious liberty crackers.
i do care about those beautiful peacock feathers. granted, i have a pair of peacock feathered earrings, i was a peacock for halloween - the massive tail piece of feathers continues to poke out of my closet - and i may have snapped a modest18 pictures of a flora & heri display of christmas trees made of feathers…it’s easy to say i may be slightly obsessed.

we’ll set my obsession aside for a mere moment and marvel in how much more awesome your gifts could be from everyone else’s if they were adorned with peacock feathers instead of bows.
in terms of price, i know you can score them at certain craft stores. i’ve only bought long stalks of feathers that cost $1 a piece. but it looks like you can score them online for 40-50 cents.

there’s something quite sweet about boycotting that fruity, froofy holiday gift wrap and going for the classic newspaper with red ribbon. imo (geek way of saying in my opinion) wrapping gifts in newspaper isn’t for the poor, it’s for the tasteful.
newspaper lends itself to be quite decorative on many fronts; albeit a book cover, matting for a picture or whatever other items your creative selves want to whip up.
the only thing that would disrupt the chicness of this look is using something with a colored ad or imagery (comics) on it.
