as a little girl, i used to think vanilla milkshakes were boring. this tendency followed me into my early-20s, when i’d use vanilla as an adjective for bland people. ‘she’s so vanilla.’ then i discovered the wonders of homemade ice cream using real vanilla bean and have since changed my mind. it’s yay ol’ time i find a new adjective because this word no longer connotes dullness. plus, there’s something sorta sweet about 1 year ago / 0 notes
